What I Can Do For You as a Digital Marketer

Our current digital marketing environment is complex and constantly evolving. A skilled digital marketer must understand a wide range of digital strategies and tools, but they must also have specialized knowledge in some subjects. As my second-to-last quarter as a marketing student at Western Washington University comes to a close, I’d like to reflect on the knowledge and skills I’ve gained from my Digital Marketing class and my work experience.

I’m incredibly grateful for my marketing classes and internships over this past year, which have provided me with a huge amount of knowledge and application of a range of marketing skills. However, in the new age of marketing, the focus for many marketers has shifted to digital marketing. In the last few months, I’ve learned about a range of digital marketing concepts, received certifications in numerous online marketing topics, and applied those skills in my job as a Social Media Marketing Intern at Scratch & Peck Feeds, and as a podcast host in my Integrated Marketing Communications class.

What Am I Knowledgeable About?

If you’ve been staying up to date with my LinkedIn blog posts, you’ll know that I’ve covered a range of digital marketing concepts in the last three months. Here are some of the subjects I’ve written about:

How Do I Apply My Knowledge?

As a T-shaped marketer, I understand a broad range of digital marketing concepts, but I specialize in only a few. My experience in marketing, up to this point, has focused on paid and organic social media marketing, content creation, and inbound marketing.

It’s hard to summarize the work I’ve done with social media marketing, because I’ve done such a range of things over the past few years. Recently, I’ve created social media strategies and content calendars, worked with brand influencers, created static posts and videos, tracked and reported analytics, and even hosted a podcast!

In addition to my specialized knowledge about social media, I also really enjoy inbound marketing and content marketing, which go hand in hand. One of my strengths is writing, so I always enjoy the opportunity to create valuable content for my clients. In addition to my personal LinkedIn blog posts, I’ve also written LinkedIn posts for a T-Mobile exec. It turns out I really enjoy writing for LinkedIn! High school Talia would be horrified.

So, how can I help your company achieve its goals? Aside from my knowledge and skills in digital marketing, I stand out from other recent grads because of my passion for marketing, my need to continue learning and improving, and my dedication to constantly exceeding expectations. I’m a natural leader who thrives in collaborative team environments.
